As a concerned parent and drug policy expert I am urging @IngridStitt to approve and fund drug checking/pill testing as a matter of urgency. Abundant evidence shows it saves lives. Her and other MPs are complicit in drug related deaths while they delay.

@IngridStitt it's been 5 weeks since Antony Maugeri died at Pitch. And still no action on #pilltesting from you and the Vic gov. Pill testing is proven and effective. It helps people make informed, potentially life-saving decisions when they’re taking drugs. What's the hold up?

In NSW, Police conduct an average of 550 stop and searches of people and vehicles a day. 20 years ago, that number was 88. 90 per cent of the time, they find nothing. abc.net.au/news/2024-03-1…

Plans to tighten bail laws and introduce new ‘post and boast’ penalties for children in NSW are misguided, and entirely out of step with government priorities to promote community safety and wellbeing.

We join the @ALS_NSWACT, the Coalition of Peaks, and numerous other legal services and organisations in calling on the NSW Labor government not to introduce dangerous new bail laws. These laws will incarcerate more First Nations children, and will not make communities safer.

(3/3) How about instead of targeting people for going to a music festival, we set up pill testing to arm patrons with expert drug advice, stop the strip searching + sniffer dogs and help everyone have fun safely? #musicfestival
