Plans to tighten bail laws and introduce new ‘post and boast’ penalties for children in NSW are misguided, and entirely out of step with government priorities to promote community safety and wellbeing.

We join the @ALS_NSWACT, the Coalition of Peaks, and numerous other legal services and organisations in calling on the NSW Labor government not to introduce dangerous new bail laws. These laws will incarcerate more First Nations children, and will not make communities safer.
