On Saturday Feb 7th the 1285 BIWOC and Human
Rights Committees held their 2nd Annual Black History Month Caribbean Brunch. The event was well attended by members of Local 1285 and locals across the GTA. The key note speaker was David Bosveld of Local 6006.

The @CityBrampton will use every tool we have to stand up for our auto sector and in solidarity with @UniforLocal1285.
The land given from the City for the auto sector in 1984, the bail out in 2009 from the Harper government and the 2022 retooling agreement under the Trudeau government all came with obligations to build cars in Brampton. Stellantis can't cut and run from their legal obligations.
