Today, the Permanent Secretary @Emahoro1 joined students, teachers, parents, survivors, and the leadership of Kigali New Life Christian Academy in @KicukiroDistr District for the 32nd commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Addressing the school community, he paid tribute to survivors for their courage, resilience, and continued commitment to sharing the truth with younger generations, reminding all present that Rwanda remembers and will continue to protect the truth of its history. He emphasized that schools have a critical responsibility not only to provide academic excellence, but also to shape character, conscience, and values-centered leadership. Reflecting on the role education plays in nation-building, he noted that remembrance in schools helps raise young people who reject division, resist genocide ideology, stand against hate speech, and choose compassion, integrity, and truth. The Permanent Secretary further highlighted that transmitting memory to children and youth must be done with honesty, care, and responsibility, while encouraging parents and teachers to remain intentional educators of Rwanda’s history and values. He praised the children for their interest to learn, ask questions and reminded them that they are not too young to learn love and truth, a lesson drawn from our history. "You are not too young to learn, you are the right age to begin". He called on the younger generation to know their history, challenge genocide denial with knowledge and courage, and continue building a united Rwanda founded on dignity, truth, and shared humanity. #Kwibuka32
