Bans and clauses are community voted and decided. If you played those formats before those were in place, you'd be more understanding. Like Cacturne/sand veil ban in Gen 3 OU

@UniverseBlade @soulsilverart Yes. The mystery gift was the encounter with garchomp so saying you "got lucky" because the first encounter was garchomp wasn't lucky at all as you were only ever going to have the encounter with garchomp
