Melford Hall in Suffolk is a place steeped in history. Once owned by Benedictine monks, it was built in 1559, visited by Queen Elizabeth I in 1578 and was plundered during the English Civil War. This thread however is about a later visitor to the house, Miss Beatrix Potter.

Last walk of 2025😉 Mrs G suggested a Brightlingsea walk not realising that it was 6miles😂 As a special treat I bought her a classic lunch, 2 cheeseburgers & coffee £11, sheltered from the windchill in a shelter 🤗 Never let it be said that I don't know how to treat a lady 😍

Door for Advent. 24/12/25. Lavenham Guildhall, Suffolk. Well that's a wrap everyone. Trying to choose 24 doors from my collection was a lot more difficult than I had imagined, had to leave so many out. Hope you enjoyed them!
