Somnoire: WuWa x Cyberpunk Somnoire is a transdimensional realm described as a functional dream-dimension system that operates like a form of cosmic data-processing infrastructure. Given that Somnoire is said to function as a doorway to anywhere, it implies that information is processed through a transdimensional medium. As a result, Somnoire is not only capable of opening gateways to other universes, but can also pull fragments from those universes and manifest them physically. The operational system within Somnoire is powered by a source of frequency input with fundamentally contrasting properties. Generally, the source consists of Solaris frequencies, which include conventional dreams, collective memories, and origins that have been officially recorded within the system. Under normal circumstances, these frequencies flow through the Dreamscape Nodes, where they are collected and transmitted to the Dreamscape Nexus, which serves as the central broadcasting tower, before ultimately converging at the core of Somnoire. Once a frequency has been absorbed, the system immediately performs a deep analysis to understand its patterns and structural composition. This decoding process is followed by a transformation phase, during which raw frequency codes are converted into structural blueprints, condensed information, and various potential realities. At the final stage, the entire process culminates in the creation of a stable dream-dimensional layer. Now in Lucy's case, she successfully crossed into the world of Solaris through Somnoire while she was unconscious or dreaming. This foreign frequency didn't enter through the standard transmission route, but instead infiltrated the deepest layers of the Somnoire, where a gateway was opened by a mysterious figure whose identity remains unknown. This gateway serves as the point of passage between Lucy's universe and Rover's. As I mentioned in the post before, such gateways can only be opened by Administrators and Instances, including Rover. When Lucy's foreign frequency entered through the opened gateway, Somnoire didn't reject it. Instead, it immediately executed its automated function of decoding and processing the incoming data. Somnoire reconstructed Lucy's body into that of a Resonator, complete with a Tacet Mark, so that she would conform to the laws in the world of WuWa. Somnoire even upgraded some of Lucy's own abilities. After successfully translating Lucy's foreign frequency, Somnoire generated an entirely new Dreamscape Layer based on that information. However because Somnoire is highly sensitive to foreign Nightmare frequencies originating from Lucy's nightmares, the system activated its automatic defense mechanisms to maintain the stability of the newly created layer. Despite this, the Nightmare entities managed to break through, causing the new layer containing Lucy's manifestation to overlap directly with Dreamscape Layers formed from local Solaris frequencies. This is where Rover's role in the DOIR event and Version 3.4 storyline begins, to locate and resolve the anomalous frequency, and ultimately guide Lucy back through the gateway she entered from so that she can awaken from her dream and return to her own world.
