Big discovery on Rotten Tomatoes for The Odyssey.
The real audience score is sitting at 56%, not the fake 97% they’re showing with their “Verified Audience” bullshit.
A r/KotakuInAction user figured out how to see the actual numbers behind RT’s manipulation.
Exactly what we’ve been saying. Real people are dragging this butchered mess, but Rotten Tomatoes is bending over backwards to protect it.
Classic.

@SurrealVeal I don’t know if I will see it because I am a die hard for true adaptions that keep to the book (not race, but the movie does miss so much from the book)… but I find perhaps no better description for addiction than that.
Well written gotta give it to him.

I just tried to write a review and it just ate it. Doesn’t even try to “verify” my ticket or anything. Just deletes your negative review. I didn’t say one word about the casting at all.

@forestspiritsco @RonhozZ @OrevaZSN But you can’t even say “yes this is good or yes this is ok with Shaka Zulu.” How about Ryan Gosling being black panther? And if you can’t respond yes or no to that simple question our conversation is done he/him :) have a great day :)
English

@UpX4Ban @RonhozZ @OrevaZSN You’re using bad examples. The Odyssey isn’t a fuckin real story. It takes place in Greece, sure. But them being Greek people has 0 to do with their motivation. Y’all did not bitch this much when Hamilton had Alexander Hamilton as a Puerto Rican man instead of Caribbean.
English

@forestspiritsco @RonhozZ @OrevaZSN How is it bad…it’s a race swap.Why are you so triggered.
And you’re using an example from a time where people were not fed up with this stuff bro.
it has everything to do with breaking the immersion.not in a Greek Mythology.I’m at a night at the improv featuring Odyssey themes
English

@forestspiritsco @OrevaZSN Oh I’m sorry I’m sorry… here is John Wayne as Ghangis khan :) does that smooth the bumps in your head better he/they :)?

The concept of “Acting” is lost in you 🤦🏽♂️

This is an ancient Greek warrior according to Christopher Nolan.

@SaketxJane Ya… and the bud light brand was brought down by 1 single can (not mass produced)… so what’s your point kid?
English

@johnmvaughan @JamesSurowiecki @cickedc Helens dad was Zeus (GREEK god) who (in later works not said in the Odyssey) turned into a swan to seduce Queen Leda (Greek)
So two Greek parents… I wonder what human form and skin tone she might take on as a result 🤔 why are you trying to play this weird game dude?
English

No - that's an actor playing an ancient Greek warrior.

@johnmvaughan @JamesSurowiecki @cickedc Helen was the princess of Sparta bro… or are you just choosing to be willfully ignorant and not read characters place of Orgin before you talk out your ass… u think Sparta (of all places) was a melting pot you dunce 🤣
English

@UpX4Ban @JamesSurowiecki @cickedc Did Homer ever state Helens colour? No you thick gammon, so it's open to anyone's interpretation.
