@UponArrivalGame Oh yeah!! A Pleasant time to do it. We got up to 85 the last three days.
English

@EJCrumbs You were game deving? What kind of game? I wish I had an office myself!
English

@UponArrivalGame I was using it for a studio work (Game Dev Work) after I quit work, but have seldomly used it since, also just using it for finances and what not.
Yeah! I don’t mind this setup — Maybe it‘s not the norm(?) I don’t mind playing from my couch.
English

@SephGoHX This is a damn sick setup! The background on your screen, it reminds me of Executor from Nightreing.
English

@UponArrivalGame PS5 is curretly in the living room but it is usually on a shelf that is right under the monitor on the right. ( 2 more shelves for other consoles if I decide to buy any in the future.

English

@EJCrumbs Yeah, I'd love to see it. What do you use the office for?
Yeah, I know. That's why I got reminded. You rolling in and out of the living room, but it works!
English

@UponArrivalGame Absolutely!!
Your setup is good, I do have a setup similar to that in the office, but It is seldomly used 🥲. Have to show a picture at some point.
funny you mention that I forgot about that, teachers always were rolling them in and out. Haha.
English

@myras_________ 😂 If it works, it works! The gaming part is what matters!
English

@UponArrivalGame Just a pc monitor and my PS5 on the couch lol.
Eventually ill get my normal gaming setup lol
English

@UponArrivalGame My normal ones not up right now.
Im redoing the floor in that room lol
English

@EJCrumbs Yes, two for my PC and the TV for the PS5. That's nice. It works for you. Also, it reminds me of those rollaway TV sets we got in school in the 90s and early 2000s 😂
English

@UponArrivalGame Very nice! 3 monitors! There’s the PS5, the Nioh machine!!
I bought a stand with wheels to roll it in and out of the living room. Works well, barley fits through the door when guests come.🤣

English

@myras_________ Yes, I absolutely loved Thymesia. I played The Surge up until the second boss but I didn't really like the jankyness 😆
English

@UponArrivalGame Thats awesome its a really fun genre.
Have you played thymesia yet or the surge?
English

I just fought the worst boss in video game history in Deathbound.
Imagine an upside down U room. You enter the boss arena from the left tip and the goal is to reach the boss on the other side and exit on the other tip. Essentially the boss room is divided into three sections, the first straight, the bottom of the U and the other straight.
Each room is literally a gank of enemy gauntlets, all WHILE the boss pelts you with thunder and poison waves from a distance.
Once you reach the boss you'd think it is finally going to be a one on one but NO. He spawns more enemies, a sniper at either side of the room and the worst enemy in the game, a tall and lanky monster with ridiculous reach.
I'm glad that fight is over. I am liking the game a lot and I know at some point I'll be playing a second playthrough and this boss is going to be so dreadful to reach 😭
English

@EJCrumbs Yes, except fighting multiple enemies at once in Deathbound is 10x easier than in Nioh. I find it impossible to fight more than two at a time in that game 😂
English

@UponArrivalGame That would be great! I mean playing Nioh taught me so much about these situations!🤣
English

@myras_________ I'm trying 😂 It's my favorite genre. I've played all mainstream ones and am working my way through lesser known titles.
English

@EJCrumbs It's probably going to be no issue at all for you 😆
English

@UponArrivalGame Oof! I’ll call it challenge accepted when I get to this one. Thanks for the heads up.
English

@EJCrumbs Kingdom Shell was fantastic. The best character movement in a metroidvania game for me.
English

@EJCrumbs Dude, don't even worry about it. After my struggles with Nioh, I know you will have no issues with Silksong. I mean, you freaking platinumed Nioh!!!
English

@SephGoHX Wait, there are more Nier games!? Holy shit, I am so out of the loop when it comes to gaming lol I didn't know Nier: Automata even existed until I played Stella Blade last year and now I am being informed there are more Nier games!
English

@UponArrivalGame This is the only Nier game I have played so far and it was a great.
English

I finished Nier: Automata last night. I played Stellar Blade last year and I had no idea Stellar Blade was inspired by Nier: Automata until I started playing the game.
It's a very short game if you only focus on the main missions and a very long one if you go exploring every nook and cranny and complete all side missions.
I believe this is a 2017 game and it shows, but still a very solid game. Stellar Blade polished a lot of the mechanics and exploration, but I loved the many gameplay perspectives Nier: Automata has.
My personal score for this game is 7.5/10

English

@EJCrumbs Yeah, it's difficult to get into great games from the past when you are used to playing great games in the present. Stellar Blade definitely ruined some of the charm for me of Nier but as you said, not a bad game by any means.
English

@UponArrivalGame I think this one I liked the story, but thought the game play was just okay. Not a ”bad” game by any means.
I’ve been spoiled with so many peak games too, so its tough to compete.
