I’m a bit torn. Because while it’s objectively great, selfishly I wish we’d put some money into restoring many of this cities vacant movie palaces, which are natural concert venues and really do deserve preservation and investment.

2 permit are pending now to build the new 6000 seat music venue next to the United Center in Chicago. 1 permit was submitted in October while the other was submitted just a couple weeks ago in February. This is part of the $7 Billion "1901 Project" which may have ~10K new units

It's been a long process, but the first phase of renovations to the Clarendon Park fieldhouse (4501 Clarendon) have been completed, and the 1916 building has gone from endangered to ready for its second century of serving the people of Uptown Chicago. uptownupdate.com/2025/06/renova…
