So now a white physician has sued the online directory “Find A Black Doctor”, arguing that limiting participation to Black physicians constitutes racial discrimination. On its surface, the argument appears straightforward — should a physician directory be allowed to restrict membership based on race? But hold on. That framing misses the REAL question we should be asking— Why did Black patients feel they need a directory like this in the first place? Let’s go there.

@TorraineWalker Technically they are just telling them not to enroll in the 16 schools that make up the SEC. Elite athletes would and should enroll in B1G schools anyway. Better athletics, networks/alumni associations and much better education.

Demanding young Black athletes risk their futures while y'all risk nothing is insane and I would advise any student or parent to not do it.

@DrBrittaniJ Nothing wrong this kind of Directory. Hospitals in their directory already gives you option to choose the doctors you prefer, anyway. But if the website had said "Find a White Doctor," would blacks be offended by it? It would not surprise me if that website is also sued.
