Been in NFTs nearly 6 years, and I’m intentionally being blacklisted from opportunities because I won’t keep my mouth shut. Not because I’m a bad collector. Not because I’m a five minute flipper. Not because people even question if I’m even here for the art and culture. But because I’m controversial. If you want to be included in things, you must not ever criticize or voice your opinions. Got it. I’ll keep being me and remember those who left me at the gate.

Born on the bayou, I had a different kind of teacher. My propensity for risk started young. I once tried to lure an adult alligator into a wagon with my sister's pool noodle. Turns out that's a pretty good metaphor for how I live today. Sometimes you dive into the abyss. Usually it's a featherbed. At 22 I was partied out. Started in management at a local firm, worked my way through different industries, taught myself how businesses actually run. By my mid-twenties I'd built a private label e-commerce brand that did half a million in sales by month 6. Sold it two years later. I could feel something else calling though. Got into crypto during the 2017 Litecoin run, 4x'd an investment. Kicking myself I didn't start sooner. By 2021 I was working DeFi, founding projects, moving into director-level roles. And for a moment there, our industry actually had something pure. We called out the scammers. We were hard on bad actors. We believed we were building something better. But somewhere between 2022 and now, too much of this industry became the thing it originally fought against. Bad actors with no moral compass raised millions while doing real damage. And I realized something: if they can build and fundraise doing it wrong, why can't the good guys do the same and actually solve real problems? That's Artisan. A stablecoin money app built on first principles. We saw every gap in the neobank space because we lived in them. We're filling them. Not because it's trendy. Because it's the right thing to build. We're already nearly oversubscribed in our round. Notable names on the cap table we'll announce soon. We're moving fast, we're transparent, and we will never give up. We owe it to ourselves and everyone who believed in us. If you want in at the lowest valuation we'll ever offer, a few spots are still open. Otherwise, waitlist is live at artisan.cash. Thank you for being with us. We're just getting started.

my dad had a sunglasses business. we’d pack up the car and drive to country fairs across the pacific northwest, set up a booth, and sell. blue blockers mostly. i was 8 years old. that was my first sales job. i used to be mortified by it honestly. watching my friends have normal weekends while i was learning how to make eye contact with strangers and not flinch when they said no. my dad never let me quit mid-pitch. you finish what you start, you smile, and you try again. i didn’t know it at the time but he was teaching me everything. how to read a room. how to make something simple feel essential. how to believe in what you’re selling hard enough that the person across from you starts to believe it too. took me twenty years to stop being embarrassed about those fairs and start being grateful for them. now i’m building @UseArtisan and closing a fundraising round and every single day it feels like a country fair booth with higher stakes. same skills. different product. @doranmaul what’s your origin story?
