Solana last two years that tested everyone. Majors token included. The median top-20 basket lost 75% during this time. We backtested that exact nightmare. Top 20 Solana tokens, the two worst years, every possible 2-4 token portfolios. 6,175 combinations. Just hold: zero finished green. Not a few. ZERO. Rebalanced: 473 finished green, 82% beat just holding. Same tokens, the only difference was a rule. Simply, a better way to HODL.

Not quite, the +44% Premium (not apy) which is the rebalancing return you'd get on that simulation vs just holding SOL (no rebalance) Here's a more up-to-date number: +29% Premium If you had bought SOL 4 years ago you'd be up ~24% If you had it in a auto-rebalancing Vault (80% SOL/ 20% stable) you'd be up ~ 60%, a 29% increase from just static hold.

BTC went 10k to 60k, back to 20k, up to 75k, back to 50k, up to 110k, back to 75k, then 125k. A holder collected exactly one thing from that entire ride: the endpoint. Every round trip in between is value that a rebalancing rule collects and holding throws away by design. We measured what those round trips were worth across 526,950 baskets. The biggest flaw in most investing strategies isn't the math, it's assuming you're a robot. Everyone says they'll buy the dip until the dip becomes a crash. However, one could argue that having ZEC in a portfolio may underperform static holding. Yes. But the counterargument is: it forced you to take profit. Outperforming static holding only matters if you actually manage to sell in time. Otherwise, it’s just unrealized performance. And selling is always harder than buying. Lesson in that.

One token caused the worst result in all 526,950 of our backtests. That's exactly why we're posting it. $ZEC ran 10x and never came back. The 1,159 baskets holding it: -48 points of premium. The 5,016 without it: landed exactly where the equation predicted, in the same brutal window. And even the ZEC baskets made +206%. The "failure" was earning less than holding, not losing money. When rebalancing underperforms, it's never a mystery. It's a runaway, and you can screen for it before you deposit.
