I don't care who wins. At the end of the day i'll be happy seeing either Brent Burns (COL), Nic Dowd (VGK), Jordan Stall (CAR), or Brendan Gallagher (MTL) hoist the Cup.

Not gonna lie, seems a tad high on the AAV but for a RHD w/ 300+ GP, maybe it’s just market rate with the cap going up so much. #ALLCAPS gotta still be looking to add another RHD but Timmy’s new deal prob means smell ya later TVR.

Darren Dreger reported on TSN's That's Hockey on May 13 that the Maple Leafs were told not only by Matthews but by a fair number of players on the roster that the addition of size and grit up front was a top priority: “I'm thinking back to the exit interviews at the end of this season and the messaging from some of the players, Auston Matthews included, and his belief that the Leafs need more size, a little bit more grit up front.” They don't necessarily need all gritty guys, but they certainly need some guys who can play aggressively while also adding a lot of offensive and defensive help. Think a Tom Wilson-esque player; someone who doesn't care for anyone but his teammates, will take advantage wherever he can, but also score you 30 goals and give you 200+ hits a season.

Might overpay 1st few years of these kinda extensions vs doing bridge deals but keeps you from having a RFA like Robertson and getting just bent over a barrel. #ALLCAPS nailed the Big Pro extension so hoping Leno, Hutson, and Lil Pro all get deals that age similarly well.
