@NightinGery As Russian i wanna say that Red Winter story are great actually, whoever wrote them did a good job at capturing how hectic my country is, but i agree that it would be much better for them to use Russian folklore rather USSR as main theme...

The BA devs really shot themselves in the foot by reducing Red Winter to just a "Russia parody". They should've just kept it at some parallels, but creatively make it unique, similar to how Trinity has parallels to Britain without being a one-to-one copy...

In a recent Blue Archive dev talk, they revealed to us that a Red winter volume was planned but ultimately scrapped do to “real world issues involving Russia” (I assume he’s talking about the Russian-Ukrainian conflict) and was replaced with a Arisus volume that they had to rush

And the worst thing is, all of Red Winter is p much ruined by Cherino overshadowing it all (imo the most unlikable character in the whole game) and just like in many other cases, they don't dare make significant advancements in the story to better the situation.

@thecunnysupreme @HinaLover67 I didn't like shameless reusing Arius Squad momotalks, writer reheating Saori momo and giving same story to Maia was weird at best.

everything else was fuckin great whoever wrote it desserves a bonus

@HinaLover67 I was wondering why Arius chapter pacing feels like Kotori wrote it, now i understand. Also poor Red Winter, first Cherino seiyu leaving, now this. At least we got "Thesis on Cultural Exchange" event and it was pretty good~

isn’t it a little weird how the game is fine with calling us *name*-sensei but has problems with things like -chan and just call them twice like Rin-Rin or Kei-Kei instead of Rin-chan and Kei-chan
