So I've watched all the video reviews of the two ROG Xbox Ally handheld PCs, and my takeaway is that this is NOT a suitable product for Xbox console gamers. If you aren't a PC gamer, or if you don't like PC gaming and that's why you play on an Xbox console, then these two handhelds are worse than useless to you. If you can deal with all the issues inherent to these handhelds, then you might as well be a PC gamer, and maybe that's the trojan horse MS is making here, but I can see a lot of these being returned just because the software just isn't right for a console audience, not to mention that a non-PC gamer won't even know how to configure their games, how to manage the power states of the console, and all the other things PC gamers do every day. Marketing this as an Xbox will probably turn out to be something that just damages the Xbox brand imo.
