@BrianKingNeo @EBNEO Our trial was powered for growth, not BPD. True. The BPD signal (non-significant) was exploratory, and a larger trial would be needed to examine that outcome further.

@UshaDevi_Neo @EBNEO Ah fair point about baseline NIV - makes BPD less common and therefore very difficult to detect a difference. 50% relative increase in BPD is certainly meaningful, and would warrant a trial with more power. Or can you get similar "bang for buck" selecting patients for Na supps

@BrianKingNeo @EBNEO Thanks Brian. In the unit, NIV is the predominant mode. Also since the intervention began at 100 ml/kg, the MV duration might not have been a better outcome. BPD was one of the key outcomes. Total, MV,NIV duration (slightly lesser not significant) are shown in baseline.

@EBNEO Slightly concerned about respiratory outcomes - seems like just BPD report, and observed RR was ~1.5 (not significant). Would have liked to see a more proximal respiratory outcome, like duration of MV.
