One way to avoid scams like this is to take a step back and ask a simple question: If I truly found an edge in trading or whatever it is I am doing and it makes me a lot of money, why will I want to share that edge, teach people (mentoring is stressful), accept deposits and trade for people given the risks, etc? More so, in a zero sum game, there’s absolutely no incentive to sharing your edge. So what is in it for the trader trying to convince me to deposit money in his scheme? Why does he want to help me?
