@shesbonky When I was scheduled to have a C-section with my last, my ob asked if I wanted to have the tubes removed to ‘lower my cancer risks’ since the hospital I was delivering in was Catholic and would not allow it for sterilization purposes. My husband got snipped too double sure.

At 37yo I got surprise pregnant (AFTER my husband's vasectomy) with my 5th child. I was scheduled to have a c-section so at my 28 wk appt I asked to have my tubes tied immediately after the birth. My obgyn refused, saying I was too far along in my pregnancy to make that call.
