Today I was confirmed by the SUG Parliament to serve as the Director of the Directorate of One Health & Interdisciplinary Collaboration under the office of the @SUG_UNIJOS President @Younglan_Tal . Major goals of this office is to work in conjunction with the other Directorates especially Health, Hygiene & Sanitation; Sustainable Development Goals; Climate Action & Sustainability; International relations & Ethics; and the Faculty Executives, Parliamentarians as well as Departmental Executives & Hostel Governors etc. This is in order to encourage a general student-based preventive approach in solving health challenges on campus as well as guide students to explore future careers in their fields with an inclination towards solving the problems of our country’s dire health sector. Another important role is to further work with the President to organize student exchange programs across faculties and with other institutions. NOTE: Neither I nor the President consider ourselves as politicians but STUDENT UNIONISTS & FUTURE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS only concerned with doing exactly what is best for the health & welfare as well as exposure of our colleagues(students) to health related solutions on and off campus. We also have a fruitful history of working together as Executives of @IVSA_Unijos ; Editorial board of @navms_official 2025 where we have been exposed to actual volunteer work, exchange programs, event organizing, print publication and content creation. All of which are relevant in this office. Watch out for more updates on our activities from this space and hold us accountable cos we also try to do same. -Manji A.D
