@spectatorindex It seems that Trump is working with the Iranians and Israelis to use terrorism to force the Gulf states into normalizing relations with Israel and signing the Abraham Accords.

30 days for repeatedly raping a child. Not 30 years — 30 days. And no sex offender registry. The sentence is so absurdly light compared to the crime that it stops feeling like justice at all. Cases like this destroy public trust because they send the message that power and connections can matter more than the suffering of a victim.

BREAKING: Adam Hoffman has been released from jail for "good behavior." Hoffman is the 49-year-old Waco, TX attorney who faced life without parole for repeatedly raping a young boy, until Texas AG Ken Paxton offered him 1 day in jail and no need to register as a sex offender. A judge increased his sentence to a whopping 60 days. He got out in 30 days. This is MAGA's vision for the USA. Full story: letsaddresstexas.substack.com/p/ken-paxtons-…

Calling all data centers “extremist projects” ignores reality. Modern economies literally depend on them — banking, hospitals, logistics, communications, AI, research, and even the platforms activists organize on. You can debate zoning, energy use, subsidies, or corporate influence without pretending digital infrastructure itself is illegitimate.

The government has come up with a new term to target activists who oppose data centers: anti-tech violent extremism. The US has 5,381 data centers, which is 12 times more than China’s 449. The billionaires pushing data centers we don’t need or want are the real extremists here.

@Vivek4real_ If AI was truly “more expensive than humans,” Microsoft and NVIDIA wouldn’t be investing hundreds of billions into it. High infrastructure costs ≠ failure. Every transformative technology starts expensive before scaling and optimization reduce costs.

@TaraSyama66353 @CharlesMullins2 Interesting result, but high-dimensional entanglement doesn’t by itself disprove alternative quantum frameworks. The real test is experimental verification. And for now, claims about a “400 qubit limit” remain speculative.

🚨 AN OXFORD PHYSICIST JUST CLAIMED QUANTUM PHYSICS MAY BE BUILT ON A MATHEMATICAL ILLUSION. And if he’s right, quantum computers could hit a hard limit around 400 qubits. Tim Palmer argues that modern quantum mechanics relies too heavily on irrational numbers and the infinite mathematical continuum structures that may not actually exist in physical reality. Instead, he proposes a new framework called “Rational Quantum Mechanics” (RaQM). The core idea: Nature may not be continuous at all. Reality could be built from discrete, rational relationships rather than infinitely precise mathematical values. Why this matters: According to Palmer, many of quantum physics’ strangest mysteries Schrödinger’s cat, spooky action at a distance, infinite superpositions, and other paradoxes might not be real physical phenomena. They could simply be artifacts created by the mathematics we’re using. The biggest practical prediction? Quantum computers may eventually stop scaling, not because of engineering problems, but because nature itself refuses infinite quantum precision. The deeper implication is one of the biggest shifts in physics since Einstein: What if the “weirdness” of quantum mechanics was never nature… but the mathematics we projected onto it? What happens when the universe turns out to be fundamentally finite, discrete, and geometric underneath the equations?

Family, friends and fellow leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints met to remember Elder W. Mark Bassett at his funeral on Tuesday, May 19, at his stake center in North Salt Lake, Utah. Elder Bassett died at age 59 on Monday, May 11, after suffering a traumatic brain injury. He had been serving as a General Authority Seventy and executive director of the Missionary Department. President @ChristoffDTodd, second counselor in the First Presidency, presided at the funeral. The service was conducted by Bishop Bryan E. Stevenson of the Hidden Lake Ward of the North Salt Lake Utah Stake. The chapel, cultural hall, hallways and rooms of the meetinghouse were filled with those who loved Elder Bassett and wanted to celebrate his life. @MarkJCarney What the human mind fails to comprehend is how there is a group of Christians (Christian Zionists) who are convinced that God chose the criminal Ben Gvir from among more than 7 billion people to be one of his 12 millions “chosen people” 😂 There must be a psychopathic God.

The abominable treatment of civilians aboard the flotilla, including that which is documented in footage shared by Itamar Ben-Gvir, is unacceptable. Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs has directed officials to summon the Israeli ambassador to demand assurances regarding the safety and security of Canadians involved. Canada has already imposed strict sanctions on Mr. Ben-Gvir, including asset freezes and a travel ban, in response to his repeated incitement of violence. The protection of civilians and respect for human dignity must be upheld everywhere, at all times.

Reasonable point in theory, but it assumes “value to society” is the same as aggregate economic output. That ignores distributional effects, market power, and externalities. A company can create huge convenience and wealth while still producing contested or even harmful social outcomes that philanthropy alone can’t offset.

BREAKING In a story bylined by several of The New York Times’ top national security reporters, including Israel-based reporter Ronen Bergman, the Times reveals a quixotic and shocking Israeli-engineered plan to free Mahmoud Ahmadinejad from house arrest and install him as Iran’s leader. An Israeli strike on Ahmadinejad’s home in Tehran was not primarily meant to kill him. It was allegedly designed to kill the IRGC guards holding him under house arrest and free him. The plan apparently went sideways almost immediately. Ahmadinejad survived, but after the “near miss,” he became disillusioned with the regime-change plan. He has not been seen publicly since, and the Times says his current condition and whereabouts are unknown. Ahmadinejad had recently traveled to Guatemala and Hungary — both countries with close ties to Israel. The article also notes that Ahmadinejad had returned from Budapest just days before Israel began attacking Iran the previous June, and that once the war broke out, he kept a strangely low profile for someone who had spent years presenting Israel as Iran’s central enemy.
