LETTER OF COMPLAINT TO @FA_PGMOL
We are writing to formally protest the standard of officiating by Stuart Attwell in recent Man United fixtures. These recurring errors directly threaten our UEFA Champions League qualification and the integrity of the 2025/26 season.
During the match against Bournemouth on March 20, 2026, Mr. Attwell displayed gross inconsistency by dismissing a clear foul on Amad Diallo in the box, only to award a significantly softer penalty and a red card against Harry Maguire moments later. This double standard cost us vital points in a tight top-four race.
Furthermore, the Burnley fixture on January 7, 2026, was defined by two catastrophic failures. First, the disallowed Lisandro Martínez goal, which the KMI Panel has since confirmed was a legitimate goal that should have stood. Second, the failure to issue a red card for a violent stamp on Patrick Dorgu’s leg, an oversight that compromised both the match result and player safety.
The points lost due to these confirmed errors are the difference between a secure UCL spot and our current precarious position. We request an immediate review of Mr. Attwell’s future assignments involving Manchester United to ensure a level playing field for the remainder of the campaign.
Sincerely,
@manufcnow & The Man United Fan Base
