• The reason I ask is you seem so calm and you also obviously were as a player. When you do [get angry] is it almost like a calculated decision then?
🗣️ Carrick: “Well, no, I think it's that drive, you know, ultimately, and it comes out in different ways. So, some of the players will be a little bit quieter. It doesn't mean they don't care, they might not show it, but there's something inside. There's a drive, maybe there's a stubbornness at times to want to prove to yourself as much as anything, certainly.
And I think anyone, to play at a certain level, you've got to have that. You've got to have that confidence in yourself and that belief to ultimately pull it off. But the emotion's part of it.
I wouldn't say I've kind of put on a performance, I think I go with how I feel at the time and certain times it's a little bit louder, maybe, sometimes a bit more feeling, other times it's calm.
It depends what the group want and need at certain points as well. And I guess that's the ultimate coaching and managing, really, to get the lads in the right frame of mind.”

🚨🗣️ Carrick on whether he ever get angry at players:
“Yeah. I’m not going to sit here and get angry with you at this point [laughs] if that's what you're asking. No, I think there's a time and place, you know. Yeah, obviously we're disappointed at times and disappointed with the result in Newcastle, so there's feelings there, without doubt.
“That's what I'm saying, what I was talking about earlier, I think being calm and the composure around the place, but it's sport, elite performance, so you've got to play with emotion and feeling and sometimes that is a bit more aggressive.
“It's a bit more intense sometimes. So, you’ve got to manage that. And if I don't manage that, then you can't always expect the players just to create the right emotion. So yeah, certainly it is part of our role.” #MUFC

🚨🗣️ Carrick on whether De Ligt will play again this season:
“It's difficult to say, just because it's taken that MUCH time. It's one of those things with backs that sometimes you think it's alright, and then all of a sudden it's not quite RIGHT. He's improving, but it's NOT improving as quick as we all hope.” #MUFC

@TheFinPitch @FabrizioRomano Lol. Just the upcoming summer….. Also the last time they made a deal together, I wasn't even born.

@Utdtruthful @FabrizioRomano Man United and their obsession of Newcastle players
English

🚨🎖️| @FabrizioRomano: “For sure United appreciate Bruno Guimarães, but I could say the SAME for six to SEVEN players.
“The club are yet to DECIDE which kind of midfielder they want to add to the squad.
“I think Sandro Tonali is the MOST wanted player from Newcastle at the moment, keep an eye on Man United also”. #MUFC [@GiveMeSport]

English

@Itswunderkind @FabrizioRomano Hahaha. Impossible to get both of them.
English

@Utdtruthful @FabrizioRomano A midfield of BRUNO GUIMARAES, SANDRO TONALI AND BRUNO FERNANDES will really leave us lonely at the top with baleba and Mainoo still in the squad with additional right winger to rival cunha while we still got dorgu steaming. Man city pulls this up at all time why can’t we? 😞
English

@Richieman989 @FabrizioRomano Think that list is even more than seven.
English

@Utdtruthful @FabrizioRomano Six to seven players? Bro, it’s basically Midfielder Tinder at Man United right now… swipe right wisely, Erik ten Hag.

🚨 While a decision is yet to be made about his future, United feel Ajayi is among the BEST dribblers in the youth set-up. @katwalshy1

🚨 𝐍𝐄𝐖: Germany have MOVED ahead of Nigeria by handing a maiden call-up to Noah Ajayi for this month’s European U19 qualifiers.
Ajayi (17) could be knocking on the DOOR of the club’s pre-season tour, with many senior players competing at the World Cup. #MUFC [@katwalshy1]

🗣️ Iraola: “Everything looks fantastic, but we have the problem that we have to face them tomorrow. So we will try to find some weaknesses if they have. But I'm really happy that he's doing so well.” #MUFC
English

🚨🗣️ Andoni Iraola: “I don't know him [Carrick] personally, but I LIKE how he speaks, how he behaves, how he makes everything about the team.
“And the team is playing really well. I think they are doing very WELL”. #MUFC

English

🚨🗣️ Andoni Iraola: “What has Carrick done differently from Amorim? Obviously they are doing very well, NOT just the result that this is evident and something very objective.
“It’s just that they are for me being SOLID because they still have the same threat offensively, but they were the same with Ruben, scoring a LOT of goals, having a lot of chances.
“But probably defensively, no. They look MORE solid (now). They haven't conceded a lot of goals.
“(Before), If you see the chances they concede in some games is ridiculous.
“They don't concede basically chances a lot of times and probably the improvement in terms of points”. #MUFC

English

🚨🗣️ Andoni Iraola on Man United: “They have been the BEST team in the Premier League in the last months.
“I expect quite an open game. I think it's true that they have CHANGED a lot, manager, tactics and system, a lot of things probably.
“We've changed a bit, NOT as much. It’s going to be a different game, they obviously come in an incredible run of games.
“But we are also coming in a good run and I hope we can give them a GOOD game”. #MUFC

English

🚨 𝐍𝐄𝐖: “I think now we've MOVED from the internal to the external part of the process. In the coming weeks, we should get a bit MORE clarity”. #MUFC [@JacobsBen, @UnitedStandMUFC]
