@oscar_farmer02 Think it's the wording your using, he doesnt know she's under the wishes powers and she wasn't under any actual drugs. Yes I agree it is still SA because at the end of the day Nikki isn't consenting. There also two sex scenes, just the first one we didn't see.

@UteCootin The sex scene I’ m literally referring to happens after the dinner scene…. If you don’t think that’s SA, then that sure as hell is concerning.

It’s scary and concerning how many people are sympathetic to ‘Bear’ in Obsession (2026). She is under a literal drug and he knowingly has intercourse with her, doesn’t really try to change the spell at all and when he finally does tries to puke the poison out at the last minute!!

@Bridoof Man when me and my girl left the theater it was the most silent ive ever heard it after credits. We all walked out in silence like we just left a funeral.

Obsession has been on my radar for months now and finally seeing it…jfc guys watch it please. It’s gonna be sitting with me for a LONG time. Me and my friends literally left the theater looking like we just got out of war…. 10/10

A lot of the movie is so mean that it can occasionally become funny but the end just sucks the life out of you (complimentary)

@BewareMoon @carouselshotgun Exactly, the argument isnt "Bear isn't a horrible shity person", I just have a problem with everyone expecting him to do things themselves wouldn't be able to do if put in that situation. Like killing and somehow knowing magic actually exist. Other then that yeah he's shity.

@BewareMoon @carouselshotgun This is true, I think with that scene in particular its more of his response. There was no concern about her at all, no if shes okay, no questions about where shes at, who is "her". Only "is it so bad being with me". But to expect him to kill her is silly.

@maximommy777 Yeah its a neat idea but I think it would ruin the mystery of the whole thing, and it would have to answer to many things in order for us to see it from her side.

I agree, but I think it would be neat for us to be from nikki‘s point of view instead of bears I don’t know how they would be able to do that, but I would love to see it.

@emkenobi Why are we acting as if none of us wished somebody liked us? I find it silly and a surface level take to blame him for making some hopeless wish that him or nobody would expected to work. Has no one seriously never made a outrages wish to happen cause something didnt work out

Can’t respond cause I’m blocked lol but I think just making a wish you know would completely change how a person actually feels just so you get what you want is villain behavior. Doesn’t matter if it’s real or not, him just saying it showed that he was that desperate to get her affection he wasn’t thinking about her real feelings. He was only thinking about his. “Well you can’t blame him he’s clearly insecure” how does that excuse anything??? Plenty of people are insecure and can’t ask out their crushes. Rejection and insecurity is apart of life and you work through that. He did the opposite, he didn’t work through anything, instead he saw Nikki as the thing that needed to change. It’s telling that he didn’t wish to be more confident, instead he wished for her to change because that would mean he didn’t have to address HIS problems. Bear is the villain from the start. It’s telling that people don’t see that until there’s serious consequences. As soon as he made the wish he was abuser. Wishing to take someone’s choice away isn’t love.

@seaofbelIs Think it's just makes his wish and actions even worse to know if he simply just tried he could've had that collage of happiness with her naturally. Ofc even if she said no it wouldn't be okah for him to do the wish.

We honestly have to do better man. I shouldn’t be seeing full out think pieces about scenes of a movie that just came out. I shouldn’t be seeing pictures of scenes of Obsession when the movie just came out. At the very least, please put a spoiler warning. Have some decency when it comes to films. The beauty of it all is discussing films not using films to banger hunt. I don’t know why we are so desperate for likes but I am angry for people who haven’t seen the movie yet and having to see this MANY spoilers.

@thereal_jwoww Been deep diving this movie since ive watched it yesterday and yeah I realized that these "group of friends" could really careless about each other. They were all feeding off of each other for, no genuine connection with each other. Rewatching this week, can't wait.

funniest part about my second viewing of OBSESSION. everyone in it kinda sucks! 😭 knowing how everything goes down that friend group was messy as hell.

@OedipalRay @emkenobi Think she's referring to when Nikki took over for a minute while Freaky Nikki was asleep. She says "please kill me, kill me". After Bear asked if it was that bad being with him she says "I've never been with you". Assuming she is referring to that scene.

@emkenobi That, uhh, didn't happen in the copy I watched. Not saying he wasn't a pussy I just don't remember her telling him "I'm not Nikki" or "please end my suffering" ...

*spoilers so keep scrolling* He literally raped her and had a chance to help her but didn’t. She begs him to end her suffering multiple times and he doesn’t because he still wanted her despite her TELLING him that it was the fake Nikki who was in love with him, not the real one. He also takes the cowards way out in the end to leave her with the pain and trauma HE caused. Once he knew what was going on he never tried to stop it. That’s not real love. If he truly cared about Nikki he would have listened to what the REAL Nikki was saying.

@NosrabNeb @theblaiirwitch People gotta realize the source of where we are hearing she thought of him as a brother, two people who had incentive to lie to him. Ian obviously felt threatened and I think he knew Nikki would've gave Bear a chance if he did confess. Hence the sabotaging advice he gives.

@theblaiirwitch Well Inde said Nikki did liked Bear, and her character also doesn’t seem superficial. Bear just royally fucked up his chance, no thanks to the worst friend in movie history Ian.
