Clearly didn’t work so the club has doubled down on keeping Bruno. I would imagine Murphy leaving frees up a a RW transfer.

@NUFCBlogcouk Problem is, there’s no perfect fit. Miley’s too young, Burn probably ends up with reduced play time. Botman is out injured too often. Other players have left. Maybe you set Burn as the club captain and find an appropriate on field captain.

In these situations time is extremely important if anything serious has happened. If players do go down with a head injury they must spend 60s off the pitch

@KieronVxu @hoothoot81 I think a backline as solid as ours when there’s minimal games, and if our strikers can hit the ground running, we’ll have a great season. Christmas and Easter really hampered us last season with the amount of games being played. UCL is the expectation. Europe is essential.

@KieronVxu @hoothoot81 For the current squad we’ve got plus 1 or 2 who still need to get through the door, getting ucl should be a walk in the park. We’ve got the squad size to maintain consistency and we’ve got the time between games to plan for games. I think toure and elanga will be starters

@hoothoot81 Why are fans so hellbent on getting Trafford in? He’s not as good as perceived, I would rather go get a veteran keeper with real experience to carry us through the season and worry about a long term replacement when it comes to it. Trafford has failed at Burnley and city.

@hoothoot81 @KieronVxu I can see Murphy being shifted next season depending on where we finish in the league. If we’re getting ucl, we should be spending our entire budget on RW alone. As for the coming season, I think we’ll manage between toure, Barnes and Elanga. Barnes can play both sides.

Reading between the lines... Steur has been give a number already. 14. Toure has not. Number 10 is vacant. Number 8 also. Club must anticipate another big attacking signing along with a big CM addition. #NUFC

@GianfrancoShoIa I genuinely think that Eddie plays him there because of his similarity to trippier. Having an extra player on a wing that can cross the ball very well just suits his play style. Elanga is great at breaking lines and Miley is great at getting the ball to him or in the box.

I wonder how Miley feels about playing at RB. You'd assume his preference is CM, and arguably where his talent is best utilised.

#NUFC need that addtional winger as Touré, Barnes, Murphy and Elanga don't cut it. I like Trafford but don't understand the move after Jaouen and the fee it would take. What started off as positive (Muñoz, Camara, El Mala, Ezzalzouli, Fernandez-Pardo) has turned a bit sour.

@Ambnufc9 It is an amazing deal, although slightly overpaid in my opinion, but that’s just prem tax, any pl club would be privy to that same price. The best part of the deal is that we’ve essentially made over £20m in profit while replacing him with someone 8 years younger.

I can't believe there's actual people being negative about this Steur deal 😭
