@Ethan4Indy I grew up only a mile or so from the supposed site of the battle. The Farmer (Rowland Parry) who owned 'Fachell' once told us kids 'A great battle took place here in my fields" It was said that at High Tide, the sea covered the site drowning the wounded. The map is an 1871 OS.
