We’ve disbursed over ₹5,00,00,000 in MPLADS funds for developmental works this past year. As per party precedent and discipline, these funds were traditionally allocated on the recommendations of constituency incharges appointed by the party, some of whom now serve as MLAs. (Some Constituency incharges have still not sent the demand list for their segments). That changes now. Since most of the constituency incharges are MLA now. We’re opening the process to the people themselves. We’re inviting suggestions for 18 public projects, one for each Assembly segment that falls under the Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency. With a limited budget of ₹5 crore, we can take up 18 impactful works from Critical Care Ambulances to hospital equipment and other urgent community needs. Share your suggestions with the Office of Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi via DMs, comments, or email. Your priorities will shape these 18 projects.

Not too long ago, these statements would most likely come from Indian Prime Minister in this kind of situation involving the region. But, unfortunately, BJP’s Muslim hate policy has not only damaged our domestic political and social fabric, it has damaged India’s position and policies in the regional and global political sphere as-well.
Having said that, Pakistan’s efforts to negotiate a ceasefire in a conflict which could potentially escalate into a catastrophe for the region and the world is appreciated.

I had a warm and substantive conversation with President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran, this afternoon. I conveyed my deep appreciation for the wisdom and sagacity of the Iranian leadership in accepting Pakistan’s offer to host peace talks in Islamabad later this week to work jointly for the return of peace to the region. President Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s participation in the upcoming negotiations and expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts, while conveying his best wishes for the people of Pakistan. Today the Honourable Member of parliament Aga Syed @RuhullahMehdi spoke in Parliament on the Finance Bill 2026 to highlight the continued injustice faced by Jammu & Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.
J&K has not been empowered—it has been stripped of its autonomy. Our governance and even bureaucracy have been centralised, distancing power from the people.
He reminded the House: this is not the India we acceded to. These are not the promises made to us.
Even our resources are taken—our energy while our own people remain deprived. The electricity generated from J&K lights up the other parts of India but the people of J&K do not get the fair share in revenue. It is not cooperative federalism, it is called EXTRACTION. We demand royalty, fair share in revenue and reinvestment.
Budget is not just about numbers. It is an instrument of justice dignity and rights.
