If you watch Arsenal once again today struggling against relegation-level opposition like West Ham from a neutral journalistic perspective, it quite literally becomes understandable why Bradley Barcola rejected Arsenal, as first revealed by myself, and would rather associate his future with the crown jewel of English football, Liverpool FC. Regardless of the manager in charge throughout history, Liverpool have always represented intensity, vertical football and explosive attacking profiles, whereas Arsenal’s modern identity has increasingly revolved around rigid positional play and set-piece dependency, a stylistic contrast which naturally makes Liverpool the far more attractive sporting destination for a profile like Barcola.

🚨🎙️| Jamie Carragher says this Arsenal side is one of the least convincing teams ever to go on and win a Premier League title in history: 🗣️“People are trying to convince me this Arsenal side are one of the great Premier League champions? Give me a break. I’m watching this team every single week and honestly, they might be one of the least convincing title-winning sides we’ve seen in years. Everything is robotic. Everything is rehearsed. If the set pieces don’t work, they genuinely struggle to create anything consistently from open play against deep blocks. Look at the numbers. Corners, free kicks, deflections, VAR interventions, that’s been the story of their season. They’ve basically turned football into an NFL training session. Fair play to Nicolas Jover because he’s probably been their most important attacking player this year without even stepping onto the pitch. And then there’s the VAR decisions. Every single big moment seems to go Arsenal’s way. Marginal offsides? Arsenal benefit. Soft contact in the box? Arsenal benefit. Goals checked for five minutes until they find a reason to disallow it? Arsenal benefit. Fans of other clubs are watching this thinking: ‘How many lifelines are these lot gonna get?’ People talk about dominance, what dominance? I’ve seen better football from teams that finished 3rd or 4th. When City were winning titles, they suffocated teams with quality. Liverpool at their peak overwhelmed teams with intensity. Even Chelsea under Mourinho had personality and control. This Arsenal team? It’s corners and controversy. And the scary thing is, Arsenal fans are acting like this is an all-time great side when half their big wins this season came from dead-ball situations and chaotic VAR moments that completely killed games for opponents. You know what happens when the officiating balance swings the other way next season? We’ll see the truth very quickly. Because if you remove the set-piece dependency and the constant controversy surrounding decisions, I genuinely don’t think this team wins the league. That’s why for me, if they do finish top, they’ll go down as one of the weakest Premier League champions in the modern era. Effective? Maybe. Entertaining? Absolutely not. Dominant? Not even close.”

There is a lot of negativity around Liverpool, and reality is teams lift the level when playing us. That has always been the case in England. Being honest is do you feel Slot can turn it around, if he stays and gets 3/4 signings?

@BritIndianVoice Not reading all that. An indian can’t be British you got that. A British passport doesn’t make you British. Being born in the UK doesn’t make you British either. Paying taxes doesn’t either. Every single indian will be deported. Britain for the British. Deal with it.

British Indians Voice 🇮🇳🇬🇧
To every legal British Indian worried this morning. Take a breath. Read this carefully. ✅ You came legally — you have nothing to fear. ✅ You have a British passport — it cannot be taken. ✅ You were born here — you ARE British. ✅ You paid your taxes — your record is clean. ✅ You own your home — legally, fully, completely. ✅ You have never claimed illegally — your history speaks. ✅ You have a job and contribute — the system needs you. ✅ You have done everything right — everything. Reform is targeting illegal migrants. Not you. Not your family. Not your children. You are not an illegal immigrant. You are a British Indian. And that is something nobody — nobody — can take from you. Sleep well tonight. 🙏 🇮🇳🇬🇧 #BritishIndians

Britain's national dish is Chicken Tikka Masala. Not fish and chips. Not a Sunday roast. Not a cream tea. Chicken. Tikka. Masala. A dish invented by British Indians. In a restaurant in Glasgow. Because a customer complained the curry was too dry. And now it outsells every other dish in Britain. We didn't just feed Britain. We changed the way Britain tastes. The way Britain smells. The way Britain eats. You're welcome. 🌶️🇬🇧🇮🇳 #BritishIndians

Im liking this new version of Slot. Absolutely bang on because Slot said himself LAST season that Salah is not always the best performer ON the training pitch and can be a bit lazy. It's funny: a few days ago, everyone was waxing lyrical about PSG having no egos, yet they will defend Salah with their lives for his actions this season, whose ego this season has gotten out of control. The best thing for the future of Liverpool Football Club is to move on from the previous generation and build a new squad of young, hungry players who dont roll their eyes when being substituted and then go to the media with cryptic messaging. Thank you to the old guard, but it's time to move on.
DaveOCKOP@DaveOCKOP

Arne Slot has responded to Mohamed Salah's comments about standards at Liverpool: “The standards are not only important in the gym. It’s also on the pitch. Okay. You understand me? Without me saying anything?” “I wish I was able to say what I feel at this moment but I can’t, So, how will I answer that question then?” “As I said, I completely agree with him [Salah] how important these standards are. I think they (standards) are in a good place at the moment.” “I think it also makes sense that younger players – it doesn’t have to be the new players, it can be the seven-year-old that comes from the Academy – they usually gets the example of players like Mo and others for them to understand and to know what it takes to play every three days at this level.” “I see – and I think – that our younger players have improved in this already. I am completely convinced that we have enough players next season – and, add to that, the ones that we will sign – to put the standards exactly into the place they are needed.”

Liverpool fans do you think Klopp left a couple of seasons too early. I believe he would have won the league last season and this as the drop off from city has been big. Do you think edwards should talk to Klopp and just say come back for a year or two and increase your trophy cabinet?
