In recognition of Virginia Women Veterans Week, the Virginia Correctional Center for Women held a Women in Military History Program. We thank our women veterans at the VADOC for their service!

Probationers at Appalachian CCAP participated in hands‑on training provided by the Virginia Department of Forestry. The training focused on digging fire lines, practicing personal safety, and more. We thank all who helped make an impact in the local community.

Bland Correctional Center donated more than 100 hats to the Bluefield Union Mission. #VADOC thanks the members of the population for their hard work and dedication on making these hats to help those in need. Additionally, thank you to the staff who made the delivery!

The Arlington Community Reentry Council, led by Arlington Probation and Parole, hosted the Arlington Resource Fair, helping many agencies braved the elements to help the court-involved individuals in Arlington County. We thank Arlington P&P for serving the community!

VADOC in the Community💚 District 13 Lynchburg participated in Park View Community Misson's annual St. Paddy's Day 5k. Proceeds benefit their Food for Thought program, which provides children with bags full of meals. We thank our team at District 13 for participating!

Congratulations to three members of the Deerfield Correctional Center Population who recently completed their 72-hour DBHDS Peer Recovery Specialist training! Peer Recovery Specialists use their lived experience and training to support others on the path to recovery.

Dillwyn Correctional Center hosted the facility’s first ever Inside Out Dads graduation ceremony on Thursday! Eight graduates received their certificates, and a certificate for their child. Children attended with other family members to cheer on their loved ones.
