In these legacy markets, nuance goes to die. If you predict a move to a specific price and the market only just barely crosses the threshold, you get the same payout as the person who had no idea why it happened.

March 2025, the month I lost interest in P2P.
I had a friend who asked me to help him sell his coins worth 1500 USDT, so I sent them to Bybit.
Everything was moving smoothly until I entered the P2P section. That was when the entire situation shifted.
I selected a merchant and opened the trade. The process started normally, and nothing appeared unusual at first.
Then the buyer clicked “Paid.” That action should have been a relief, but on Bybit, once a buyer clicks “Paid,” you are locked in with no way out.
That was when the real problem began.
He went completely silent. No responses, no updates.
Three hours later, he suddenly reappeared with a single message: “Confirm first.” I was confused. Confirm what? I had not received a single naira.
My friend was waiting, and panic was already beginning to build. My chest tightened each time I refreshed the chat, hoping for a credit alert that never arrived.
I kept sending messages, he kept reading and ignoring them, and even Bybit support could not intervene. The entire ordeal dragged on for two full days.
At that point, I accepted that the money was gone. I even refunded my friend with my own money because I was convinced it was a scam.
Stay with me… because how this ended shocked me.
