Additionally, football uses grades 8-11 to determine enrollment numbers and basketball uses grades 9-12. The focus group believes that 9-12 provides more accuracy

@DomIzzoWDAY @Chris_Zink I’m just confused how football and basketball enrollment numbers differ in this new plan? It’s different sports but the same school, so why have different rules for each sport? Just trying to make sense of everything.

Valley City superintendent Josh Johnson tells @HotMicWDAY that the 3-class basketball proposal has "received some feedback from some of the private schools about potential lawsuits or legislation" surrounding the multiplier that would move those schools into a higher class.
