Good luck to VCS Athletics Training on the 2026 AACI California Regional Sports Medicine Competition today at St. Francis! These students work so hard, largely outside of the normal class day, to learn, build their skills, and support VCS student-athletes. So proud of this program!

HAPPY PI DAY! With Pi Day falling on a Saturday and no school on Friday, students celebrated the day in their math classroom on Thursday with math activities finding pi, creating with pi, and, of course, enjoying pi(e)!

So thankful for a day of Professional Development with Summit Ministries digging into new strategies for Biblical worldview and immersion across campus — and starting everything off with worship from Christian Assembly!

2026 Race for Education! Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped organize one of our favorite Elementary events of the year — our annual jog-a-thon and obstacle course fundraiser! Love having so many parents out to run with these wonderful students and make the morning so special!

Elementary Friendship Circles are always such a blast! So thankful for this special opportunities to get students from different grades together to share, reflect, learn, and pray!

Such a great day with our juniors at the 11th Grade Retreat! SAID SPIRITUAL LIFE DIRECTOR DJ JENKINS: “Today, the junior class had their retreat — a getaway to Malibu together. While enjoying a fantastic brunch at Paradise Cove Beach Cafe, they discussed Jesus’ words on anxiety from Matthew 6:25-34. After the meal they had some relaxing time on beach together to both unwind and have fun. The Lord gave us gorgeous weather for the day as well. Pray God continues to lead these students!”

VCS Middle School Baseball played the first-ever game on the VCS campus today, recording a big win over Rio Hondo on the new South Athletic Field to open their season. Additionally, eighth grader Matias Andrade hit a home run to right field, registering the baseball program’s first home run at the new venue! Congratulations, gentlemen!

‘CRAZY FOR YOU’ OPENS NEXT WEEK! Join us for our high school spring musical production of Crazy For You, a 1930s-set romantic musical comedy about Bobby Child, a banker who dreams of dancing, sent to foreclose on a theater in Deadrock, Nevada. He falls for Polly, the theater owner’s daughter, and tries to save the theater by staging a show with local cowboys, using mistaken identity to win her heart. Last Friday was our special Fine Arts Music Festival for Middle and High School students here at VCS, and our students had the incredible chance to learn from industry professionals!   SAID DIRECTOR OF FINE ARTS NATALIE TAYLOR “Our on-campus music festival on Friday was such a valuable experience for our students. Each performing group had the opportunity to perform pieces they had prepared in class for a professional clinician and then immediately receive feedback. Each clinician worked with our students for about 45 minutes to help improve their sound, musicianship and approach to their music. When our students hear from outside professionals it helps bring new life to their classroom rehearsals. Come on out to our Showcase Concert on March 17 in the Kendall Pavilion to hear them implement what they learned!”
