Every child deserves the best possible start in life & the opportunity to flourish, no matter their background or personal circumstances. That's why the @libdems will double statutory maternity & shared parental pay, tackle the backlog in family courts, & address the underfunding of children's mental health & youth services. I live on Macklin Road, Salisbury with my husband and two young children, Connie (5) and William (2), who go to the local primary school and the local nursery respectively. I work for a charity which supports victims of stalking and harassment, and I’m also the Salisbury City Councillor for St Paul’s Ward. I am standing as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Salisbury and South Wiltshire, and I am asking for your vote so that I can represent you in parliament and to campaign for policies which can deliver a fair deal for us all.

I am really proud to have received the backing of VoteClimate as the strongest vote for the climate in Salisbury.
The Tories have used the climate as part of their culture wars campaign, rowing back on many of their commitments to achieve a cleaner, more sustainable UK. The work to put that right begins on 5th July.
You can see the reasons for VoteClimate's recommendation here: voteclimate.uk/constituencies…

My party, the @libdems, has a bold, ambitious, fully-costed plan to ensure we all get a fair deal. We will deliver a fair and functioning health system, ensuring you and your family can get a GP appointment within a week, or 24 hours if it’s urgent. We have committed to providing free personal care for elderly and disabled people, and reforming the NHS dental contract, aiming to get NHS dentists back in Salisbury. Locally, I want to build a network of community health hubs so people can access support on their doorstep.

This was one of our most shared images of the last 4 years so we've updated it for this Thursday's election.
In *most* seats across the country, Labour is the vote to stop the Tories winning, however in these seats a Labour vote won't actually help...

Five years ago I stood to be your MP. Since then, I have worked tirelessly as one of the leaders of Salisbury City Council, and I want to continue to support local people by being our community MP. I want this opportunity to serve you. Salisbury is my home. My family settled here almost 20 years ago after my father’s retirement from the military; I was married in St Osmund’s Church, and my children were born in Salisbury District Hospital. I know and understand Salisbury. I can be an effective community champion and a strong local voice in Westminster. I would be grateful for your vote on 4th July.

My party, the @libdems, has a plan to ease the cost of living crisis. We will cut energy bills through an emergency home insulation programme, help families struggling with high food prices by extending free school meals, and bring down the cost of food for the long term through a national food strategy. Locally, we need a supermarket on the west side of Salisbury to help make it cheaper and easier for families to do their food shopping. These will be my first priorities if you elect me as your MP.

Local councils are in crisis. Since 2016 the @Conservatives have cut council funding by a quarter in real terms, & as a result, 1 in 5 councils in England have reported it likely they'll become insolvent in the next 18 months.
The @libdems would tackle this funding crisis by:
- Providing multi-year settlements for local councils.
- Establishing a long-term, cross-party agreement on social care.
- Increasing the supply of social housing to ensure everyone has access to a safe and warm home.

We all need a safe, affordable place to live, so it is no surprise that many people I speak to in Salisbury are concerned about the cost of living, including spiralling rents and mortgage payments; no-fault evictions and rogue landlords; being priced out of the area where they work and where their kids go to school; and being unable to heat their homes and pay the bills.
The @libdems manifesto has a lot to say about housing. The main policies include:
- Increasing building of new homes to 380,000 a year across the UK, including 150,000 social homes a year.
- Delivering a fair deal for renters by immediately banning no-fault evictions, making three-year tenancies the default, and creating a national register of licensed landlords.
- Ending rough sleeping within the next Parliament and immediately scrapping the archaic Vagrancy Act.
- Abolishing residential leaseholds and capping ground rents to a nominal fee, so that everyone has control over their property.

English

We need a #FairDeal for the economy which benefits everyone in the UK. To deliver this, @libdems will:
- Help with the cost of living by cutting energy bills, implanting a National Food Strategy, & getting mortgage rates under control;
- Investing in green infrastructure, innovation & skills;
- Repair the broken relationship with Europe, which is costing the UK jobs, investment, & tax revenue;
- Implement a fair tax policy which reverses tax cuts for big banks & imposes a windfall tax on the super profits of oil & gas producers. Find out more about how the Lib Dems will manage the economy in our manifesto: libdems.org.uk/manifesto

The @libdems will strengthen our Armed Forces & support the people who work in them. This includes legislating to ensure there is a parliamentary vote before military action; ensuring defence procurement is part of the comprehensive national industrial strategy; improving the standard of Ministry of Defence housing; accepting the Atherton Report's recommendations on women in the armed forces; & working collaboratively with our democratic European partners.
