I’m so happy I found Judy (braider) in Nairobi. This is our 3rd or 4th design of the baldie braids, and we honestly are having so much fun with the process. The salon is called Utamaduni, and they’re honestly the best!

@zithobemacheli Thank you so much. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. He designed it with so much intention and a diamond from my mother in love. Never taking it off 🥹❤️

Patrice Lumumba's grand-daughter told me that "for a long time we were told that the crimes that happened under colonial rule were untouchable but today this changes." After a court cleared the way for a trial over the killing of DRC's first PM. #FocusOnAfrica

“Good morning ladies and gentlemen, and a very warm welcome, to the official launch of the University of Johannesburg’s Executive Leadership Programme for Universities for 2026.” Last week, we may had missed International Women’s Day by 48 hours, but we still honoured the theme of International Women’s Day, “Give To Gain”, which underscored the principle that meaningful progress on gender and social equality requires deliberate contributions from governments, institutions and individuals. This is ofcourse, how we strengthen societies as a whole, and the Executive Leadership Programme aligns with the University of Johannesburg’s 2025-2035 Strategic Plan, reflecting the institution’s commitment to societal impact, sustainable development, as well as global engagement. A pleasure it was to serve as Programme Director as we heralded the third cohort of the UJ Executive Leadership Programme for Universities for 2026 that invited incredible leaders to engage on executive exchanges including: · Professor @AlistairMokoena, Executive Dean, Johannesburg Business School · Chancellor Dr @phumlambongcuka, University of Johannesburg · Professor Lethlokwa Mpedi, Vice-Chancellor & Principal: University of Johannesburg · Dr Mzamo Masito, Business and Brand Executive, Africa Lead Canva · Professor Mary Metcalfe, National Planning Commissioner, Education · Dr Thebe Ikalafeng, Founder and CEO of Brand Leadership Group An integral, stellar launch inviting our cohort to engage the extensive expertise and the impact of the proven track record from our leaders, of how we are going to shape this necessary era of the practice of a bolder African leadership economy, that is needed for a resilient African future that we are cultivating for the next generation. A huge thank you to the @go2uj and Johannesburg Business School teams for entrusting me with the role.
