Morning breakout sessions are in full swing at #VEMS26! Topics include public-private partnerships, lessons from RVA's 2025 winter storm, urban infrastructure protection in D.C., mentorship across generations, & using standards to enhance capability, capacity, and collaboration.

Day 2 of #VEMS26 is underway in Norfolk! The general session, “The Virginia Way: Rethinking Emergency Management,” featured emergency managers sharing insights on leadership, communication, and community engagement. Don’t forget to check out the silent auction throughout the day!

Afternoon breakout sessions at #VEMS26 kept the momentum going! From NASA satellite data in disaster response to resilience in a VUCA world, legislative engagement, lessons from the DCA plane crash, and hazard mitigation planning. Lots of great takeaways!
