And Brazil fans, as does Ancelotti, have every right to expect the players to be 100% committed when they are called up for Brazil the few times a year we get to see them. Of course, you come from the perspective of club football, but it’s unreasonable to expect a player to give more for your club and focus/prioritise than his national team. As much as you would like it to happen. Calling them ‘friendlies’ ignore context. There’s 3 games left until the World Cup, and a lot of preparation. These games are against top sides and are crucial in learning, testing things that will have direct consequences on results at the World Cup. The last thing they can be described as is meaningless. It’s a perfectly valid argument to not want players to play for Brazil who aren’t 100% focused on wearing the shirt when they get called up to international DUTY.
