Feels very real now, part of a very exclusive club that gets to drive bendy buses!

Today marks the start of something great, today I passed my PCV Category D tests, thus becoming a bus driver. Exciting times ahead, watch this space!

Now this is urbanism - a pedestrianised street, only allowing buses and bikes, no parked cars, restaurant seating - this is how the urban environment should be!

Bendy buses are back! 🚍 From tomorrow, as part of our temporary renewal works, we’re bringing them back to support tram replacements, for the first time in 26 years. Remember them from school runs? South Yorkshire helped trial them in the UK. Thanks for your patience!

Had a great time out at the @FifeHRailway Bus Bundle today, been an incredibly well run event. Sadly 701 was poorly and couldn't make it, but thanks to @CityTransportGp for lending us 386, all of us had a smashing time! Looking forward to next year!

Big things for the North East, opening of the Northumberland Line today - great turnout on the first train, glad to be one of the first passengers!

@VH_Boxman That’s a lot of train for 11 people. Can’t blame them for knocking it on the head. I still laugh at the ones who get on ours at Sunderland instead of GC and then are shocked when I tell them to get off at Hartlepool because there’s no way a 156 is going to London 🤦🏻‍♂️

Something a bit different last night, was bored after my shift, and decided to hop on the last LNER to Sunderland - can see why this one is going, the only passengers were enthusiasts, or stranded Grand Central passengers. Glad I did it at least!

I know I’ve been posting about it a lot this weekend but I’m genuinely so honoured to be a part of this bus, we’ve been to Chesterfield today!

So today involved something a bit different - an LNER rail replacement service to Chester-Le-Street - the rare calling point was to assist football fans get home, as the Azuma couldn't stop at CLS, and the Northern had only two carriages. Likely a sight not seen again for a while
