@GTABase People and real fans still talk about it. It lives rent-free in our heads and it's basically free marketing for them. The fans will get what they want and deserve when the game releases, and everyone will forget all of this

I don't understand the lack of care by Rockstar towards the fanbase, especially on a day like this. How hard would it have been to tweet something like: "Today was supposed to be the GTA 6 release. The additional time is allowing us to create something great. We will have more to share soon - but in the meanwhile, here's a Screenshot to help with the wait. Thank you for the support!" But no - nothing, even today. Crazy.

GTA 6 was supposed to release today. Instead, we got a RDO post and still no Trailer 3, pre-orders or even a 60fps update for RDR2.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: Using "reverse psychology" by spamming "GTA 6 should release today" is falling into Rockstar's plan, and you just give them free marketing over nothing. Want Rockstar to do something? Total silence is the only thing that would actually force their hand.

A GTA 6 fan’s girlfriend surprised him with $100 because she thought the game comes out tomorrow. Rockstar still has Trailer 2 with the old release date pinned across social media. It’s mad that we’re hyped for GTA 6, but Rockstar haven’t even spoken about VI Online yet. When all is said and done… that’s what’s going to carry the game, and we literally know nothing about it. 😆 When do you think they will start speaking about Online?

@shaisbabydaddy @MKMKMK20220425 @k1rallik I never said separate on launch. Of course GTA 6 launches at like $70. But eventually it will go cheaper like in the past.... GTA Online got standalone in 2022 (free months on PS5), RDO standalone sold for $5-20, GTA V free on Epic. They flood Online with players cuz Shark Cards.

do you understand what happened to GTA 6.. On the earnings call, a Bank of America analyst pushed Take-Two's CEO to price GTA 6 at $80 instead of $70 - to "help the struggling industry" force other publishers to follow. Zelnick refused to answer and said games have only gotten cheaper for consumers over time. > Take-Two led the industry from $60 to $70 back in 2020 > BofA argued $70 would make every other AAA game look bad > Mario Kart World already shipped at $80 last year > GTA 5 is still selling at full price 13 years after launch A bank is publicly begging a game studio to charge gamers more.

@shaisbabydaddy @MKMKMK20220425 @k1rallik Yes, it will, just like any other game whose main aspect is Online play and microtransactions. It might even get a standalone version for around $20 or be free at some point, as GTA V was on the Epic Games Store

What do you think is going to happen to GTA Online once VI releases? Not that I care about it all that much, but I’m still curious about what Rockstar’s plans are for it.

@k1rallik I don't understand how Bank of America can think it's just about the price per copy. They don't understand Strauss's plan and vision for the GTA 6 Online platform, and how much money that will bring in with more people onboard.

@GTAVI_Countdown Lol, it's crazy how dumb they are. They can't even see the reasoning behind it and Strauss's plans for GTA 6 Online Platform that will make up that $10 like 100x over.

An investor/Bank of America analyst was trying to convince Strauss Zelnick that $70 is too low for GTA 6 and it should cost $80 during the earnings call. Strauss ignored his question, and said it’s good thing that video games have become a better deal for consumers over time.

Rockstar Games is truly the GOAT of the gaming industry. GTA 5 and RDR2 are already sitting at the #2 and #3 spots among the best-selling games of all time. GTA 6 has a real chance to become the #1 best-selling game of all time. Agree or not?
