🇺🇸 Un homme de Charlotte a perdu plus d'un million de dollars en crypto après avoir été victime d'une arnaque téléphonique. Gene Duckett a déclaré avoir reçu un appel d'une personne prétendant travailler pour Ledger. La personne au bout du fil joue tout de suite sur l'urgence. « Je m’appelle Benjamin. Je suis de Ledger, et vos fonds risquent d’être volés » L'appelant a dirigé la victime vers un site web où il pourrait soi-disant mettre ses fonds en sécurité. « Ils m’ont dit qu’ils avaient besoin de me donner un code de sécurité pour que je sache, lorsqu’on me rappellerait, qu’il s’agissait de la bonne personne » Lorsqu'une deuxième personne connaissant le code de sécurité l'a appelé, la victime s'est sentie en confiance et a saisi sa seedphrase sur le site en question. Après avoir saisi ses informations, la victime a reçue un appel d'une tierce personne qui lui a indiqué qu'il y avait un problème. « Dès qu'il a dit ça, j'ai vu que tous les fonds qui s'y trouvaient avaient disparu » L'escroc a alors raccroché, et la victime s'est rendue compte que ses fonds avaient été volés. « Ça valait 1 038 000 $. C’est une somme considérable » La victime a décrit l'impact émotionnel du vol, expliquant que son chien avait pu ressentir son désespoir cette nuit-là. « Je m'en suis vraiment beaucoup voulu à ce sujet » Mais cette victime n'est pas la seule, en 2024, le Centre de plaintes Internet du FBI a reçu près de 150 000 plaintes pour fraude aux cryptos, représentant un préjudice total de 9,3 milliards de dollars. « Il s’agit d’une véritable urgence mondiale » a déclaré Eithan Raviv, CEO de la société de cybersécurité Lionsgate Network.

Je suis complètement perdu dans ce marché de fou : Le président des US lance son memecoin 2 jours avant son investiture, le token explose dans le top 15 des cryptos, alors qu'ils détiennent encore la majorité des tokens ! 🤯 L'image qu'ils renvoient à l'international est lunaire. Si le président des US fait ça, n'importe qui, aujourd'hui, peut se sentir légitime à le faire aussi. Je suis perdu entre l'idée que ça pourrait apporter une giga alt saison / memecoin saison, ou que ce soit tellement débile que ça annonce un top de marché.
