The 2nd paper is about mitigating pulse-wave DDoS attacks. These attacks are hard to handle as they continuously adapt their traffic mix, possibly every few seconds. Our system (ACC-Turbo) enables switches to infer and deprioritize large traffic aggregates safely & in real-time.
