As a follow-up to my sitdown with Josh Heupel, he won't be alone among SEC coaches (publicly or privately) preferring a 24-team playoff, especially going to nine league games. Keep in mind that he's already led Tennessee to a playoff appearance in the current 12-team format.

So, again ... you have no idea of my beliefs. I'm a moderate conservative who's never voted for a democrat for federal office but hates when sports guys build a large following then leverage that following to a political platform... Bc it signals that once you grow your sports platform to a certain size, political proximity is the next step. It's happened with many guys (left & right). Truly sorry if you felt snubbed at the event. I was helping set up, check in, prepping for the show & handing out 100s of drink tokens that I paid for with my own money. It was pretty hectic. Learned that I need more help in future events.
