@dakuyadoesit One time a club actually did the opposite to me and it was super frustrating. Instead of requiring ticket sales, even though they said my music speaks for itself, they turned me down in the end because I didn’t have a juicy dumpy

@VONBUOYAGE I agree. If you’re playing somewhere it’s just common sense to self promote right? As an artist we should always strive to build a following but If promoters are relying on the acts to sell the tickets/tables, what are the promoters even doing? Lol genuine question.

Alright let’s have a spicy convo rq. DJ/producer homies/promoter homies. What are your honest thoughts on promoters requiring a DJ to sell x amount of tickets/tables for them to be able to play an event? I’ve been seeing this around lately and I’m genuinely curious.
