@DragozPlantman @Awk20000 She’s not bright. Either she ran out of money for her lawyer or they told her she doesn’t have a case for fair use at all and her only remedy is to settle which Ethan declined. There’s some merit to not wracking up additional legal bills if they told her she was likely losing.

Ethan Klein’s lawyer has filed a motion for the court to enter a default judgement against Frogan after Frogan did not file a responsive pleading by the May 11th deadline

@DragozPlantman @Awk20000 Yes. Default judgement can award up to $150,000 for willful copyright infringement. He can also recover lawyers fees which are probably in excess of 50k to 75k for this case already because he registered the copyright beforehand.

@UTKkwa @The_Davos_Man Live normally is the problem. You are an NPC for Putin. Your inaction is why Ukrainian civilians die every day. Sabotage or protest or leave that shit hole. You won’t though because like all orcs you only care about your own life

@The_Davos_Man What Russians are you talking about? Almost everyone in Russia last 4 years didnt give fuck to this war, they tried to live normally. No one, exept a bunch of z-militarists, "horny watched" civillians burn and bombed. Just listen, putin started the war, putin waging war.

@ALikhodedov Yes which is why prices will spike when physical reality sets in. We can bail out the world in the month of May with our exports. That will stop in June and everyone will reevaluate how long reopening will take next month.

@VOOCommander US cannot really export much more than they do now - even if they had unlimited inventory. Export infra does not allow.

@ALikhodedov The futures market is manipulated and ignoring the physical realities of the SPR draining and mines preventing a quick return to normal. Please call me an idiot in 6 months if I’m wrong and oil never climbs past its $100 a barrel pin that’s happening now.

my point is that back in March commodity experts expected higher prices in "SOH closed mid May" scenario even without mines. So introducing mine risk (that the market may or may not recognise) does not really explain why prices are lower, than expected: if the market ignores mine risk, it won't affect the price; if the market thinks it is real, prices should have been even higher (than expected by experts).

@ALikhodedov I think there is mass manipulation of the oil futures market so as not to cause panic and to pin oil to $100 before the midterms. Trump will drain the SPR to zero if he has to to not raise oil prices and for some reason the market will believe him that nothing is wrong.

@VOOCommander So ok - if we assume that there are mines that would take 6mo to clean up then what? How does it explain why the prices were not higher so far? If anything it should work the other way - if there are hard to remove mines disruption would be even longer.

@ALikhodedov Surely the world must be smarter than to believe we could feasibly open the strait by June 1st and resume normal shipping volume by August. If that is the prevailing market sentiment, everyone doesn’t understand mines

@veizau What a hypocritical douchebag. Why hasn’t Ludwig been grinding Slippi on stream? Why doesn’t he attend smash majors anymore? He doesn’t grind the game that got him to the dance either

Ludwig calls out Jynxzi for changing games when they get harder to play. “I like Jynxzi’s streams, and I think it’s awesome when he dives into a new community. But I’m gonna say what everyone already knows is true..the moment he realizes how much extra work you have to do, he bounces to a new one.”

@empyriangaming @TheMG3D Can consciousness emerge from inert physical matter like silicone? Is consciousness actually just enough 0s and 1s that sufficient complexity arises and turns into conciousness? We have no idea

@VOOCommander @TheMG3D Demis seems to believe that LLMs can take us there, or if not, they are a crucial part of the full recipe. Also the investment is in chip / energy / memory production that the trillion dollar capex is going into can apply irrespective of the final architecture no?

@empyriangaming @TheMG3D There’s also the worry that you can’t just put another algorithm on silicone chips and hope it gets us to AGI. Maybe if we perfectly clone a human brain in silicone, it’s missing some ineffable quality of physics we don’t understand in the brain. It gets to the root problem ->

@empyriangaming @TheMG3D We see this already with LLM’s struggles with mathematics. It tries to brute force answers that are incorrect rather than actually understanding the deductive reasoning of how simple algebra works.

@empyriangaming @TheMG3D Not necessarily true. Everything hinges on LLMs being useful to the final solution which we don’t know. What if a larger cortex is a hindrance to learning real reasoning? Maybe there is a reason intelligence developed from single neuron systems to billions over time
