For the first time, I find myself thinking: maybe it’s fine either way.
Trump’s America is not the America that built the alliance. This version threatens its oldest friends, lies compulsively, and calls the countries that housed its troops and buried its soldiers freeloaders. That America is a nasty, corrupt, dishonest place that has spent a year spitting on everyone who ever had its back.
Europe will be fine. It is rearming. It is unifying. Russia has been ground into pieces and bled white. NATO can do this job without Washington if it has to.
So if Trump wants to leave, the door is open.

If Argentina tried to recapture the Falkland Islands now, they would probably succeed.
In 1982 Britain sent 100+ ships, including 40+ Navy vessels and 2 aircraft carriers.
In 2026 Britain cannot even keep one military vessel seaworthy.

The only warship Britain sent to the Middle East, HMS Dragon, is already out of commission. It was forced to return to port because of problems with it's fresh water system. Great Britain once ruled the oceans of the world. Now they cannot even manage to deploy a single warship.

I would not treat an attack on the Falklands in the same way Margaret Thatcher did…
I would treat it in the same way Donald Trump would treat an attack on Mar-a-logo…
If Argentina were to ever attack the Falklands, we should meet them with FIRE AND FURY the likes of which they have never seen!
I wouldn’t stop until EVERY piece of military hardware they possess, both around the Falklands and in ARGENTINA ITSELF was little more than a twisted pile of scrap metal!
The Falklands are as British as the Isle of White. We should NEVER tolerate an attack on Britain.

The US shipped over a billion dollars of aid to the UK and France before Pearl Harbor. In September 1940 we handed over 50 destroyers to Britain to use as escorts vs. German subs.
We shipped hundreds of planes to France before it fell, and had arranged for over 2500 more. We shipped fighters to Finland for their Winter War against Hitler's ally, Russia. Then Finland used those planes when Russia switched sides. We shipped goods to Russia after Hitler attacked.
Roosevelt made a big deal out of us being the Arsenal of Democracy, so saying "we ignored Europe until Pearl" is not just a lie it is a huge falsehood that flies in the face of facts.
