I think we should change the tax brackets.
Up to 15k tax free
Basic rate 20% up to 60k
60k - 80k - 30%
80k - 150k 40%
150k - 500k - 50%
500k - 2,000,000 55%
Then 60% on the rest over 2,000,000
What do you think?
You either don't go the game or simply don't understand..maybe it's because you're just well off & frustrated seeing those who go the game, complain about the price that you're ok with.
@jonswiftauthor@Davolaar We have been all my life. But it’s a proper club, not full of glory supporting arseholes who live nowhere near the ground. More fans in Ireland than Liverpool 😂 that’s why they are putting prices up because most of your fans are rich Londoners and no champions league next year
@jonswiftauthor@Davolaar lol. X is a public platform. You replied to me. You didn’t have to. So I have the right to reply too. Enjoy watching Liverpool on tv 👍
@jonswiftauthor@Davolaar Good luck to you. It’s not dismissive of the issue. How do you know what I think. It’s just fact. Football is a business. You want the best players the club want money. Plenty of plastics willing to pay it. That isn’t dismissive, just truth.
@VPNE08@Davolaar No one wants the past. Just to watch their hometown club and not get fleeced. It might not be a working class sport anymore but it's still a working class city
You agreed but your view of "plenty of others will pay" is dismissive of the issue. We've protested before & won
@jonswiftauthor@Davolaar Like I said. I completely agree it’s shit. But if the club can get more money they’ll get it. That’s business and that’s the price of competing, not defending it, I hate it, but that’s the economic reality. When it was a working class sport, players weren’t earning 340k a week
@VPNE08@Davolaar And that just makes it alright? It's a working class sport played in a working class city.
The product is far from premium.
What about the thousands who were on the waiting list who finally got theirs that the club are now pricing out? Fuck them so you get yours right?
@jonswiftauthor@Davolaar Did you miss where I said I agree with you? Premier league football is far from a working class sport unfortunately. Stadiums have fecking swimming pools and craft breweries in them. Pine for the past but unfortunately it’s long since been a working class sport.
Football exposes the contradictions of multiculturalism on a world stage. We're told that people of the Muslim faith are just as English as the rest of us. Yet multiculturalism also encourages to celebrate their own culture and prioritise it above any kind of English one.
So we end up with the celebration of England's first ever Muslim player - hooray - only for him to refuse to sing (or even pretend to sing) the country's national anthem.
Which is obviously his individual choice. But it's worth asking what exactly we're celebrating when we celebrate Diop Tehuti Djed-Hotep Spence as English.
Am I being unfair? Were other (not Muslim) players not singing it either? Perhaps he just finds singing embarrassing?
@Davolaar I watch championship football and my ST works out at £14 a game. Unfortunately some away days cost > £30. I’d never pay stupid premier league prices. I go to almost every game home and away. I’d never pay those stupid prices, I’d let the milk some other fool. It will implode.
@jonswiftauthor@Davolaar I agree with everything you say. But there are thousands on waiting listslists more who are happy to pay. If the prices were wrong the ground would be empty. That’s the way the premier league is now. Premium product milking fans. But there is a huge market of people happy to pay
@VPNE08@Davolaar Munich did the maths on this years ago.
They can charge fans more and piss them off while making an additional few thousand per game or get their many sponsors to make up the difference.
Ticket sales are a drop in the ocean compared to sponsors and tv. That's why it's offensive
As LFC supporters we are often told how important we are on some of our famous nights.
We’re the backdrop and imagery on which the club sells so much.
Supporter voices are needed now more than ever - tell us what you think 👇

@VPNE08@_lfcsb@SpionKop1906@spiritofshankly@culturedlfc@LFC_LGBT Ticket prices won't effect wages, transfer fees etc. Increase £10 per ticket will see lfc gain less than £12 million extra but father and son it's £20 plus travel etc it prices them out and some have 2 or 3 children
@nicolemorris8 So they need to generate revenue. This is the way it’s been going for years. It’s one of the reasons I hate the premier league. Until wages and transfer/agents fees drop this is the future.
@nicolemorris8 I completely agree but Liverpools argument will be there are thousands of people willing to pay. Premier league football is a premium product. Like the difference between a Lamborghini or a ford. I can’t afford a lambo so don’t buy one. LFC fans want LFC to have the best players
If your someone who is justifying the ticket increase your part of the problem, already priced match going people out now this could be the nail in the coffin for many more, poor from Liverpool once again.
@TouchlineX Still won’t stop players going down unnecessarily and then not taking medical attention. Any player going down and causing a stop in play should leave the field for 1 minute.
🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: FIFA have officially announced the new rules for the 2026 World Cup!
1️⃣ 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗖𝗞 𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗦: When a player is taken off, he has 10 seconds to leave the pitch. If they take longer, their replacement will have to wait one minute before entering, leaving his team with one fewer player.
2️⃣ 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗪-𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗚𝗢𝗔𝗟 𝗞𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗦: Once a throw-in or goal kick takes place, a 5-second timer will be applied. If the player takes longer than 5 seconds, it will result in loss of possession.
3️⃣ 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: A player receiving medical attention on the field MUST LEAVE and WAIT one minute before returning on the pitch, unless the injury was caused by a foul sanctioned with a card.
4️⃣ 𝗩𝗔𝗥 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡: VAR will now be able to review second yellow cards that have lead to a red, as well as incorrectly awarded corner kicks.
5️⃣ 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗦: Only the captain is allowed to request explanations from the referee, if the rest of the players talk to the referee surround the referee, they will be given a yellow card.
