Frequent e-scooter riders are more likely to engage in risky and illegal riding behaviour, according to research which explored how riding experience influences hazard perception and response. roadsafetygb.org.uk/news/frequent-… 🔗 #RSGB

@LindaKKaye It’s a space where people are not disturbed by others while filming. However, filming should not be done while driving. It is extremely dangerous to be distracted with filming a video instead of focusing on the road. Not worth risking your and others’ life for a tik tok video

This is an intriguing notion...why ARE so many rant videos filmed in cars? Is it simply acoustics and/or spaces where people aren't around others...or do people believe this environment has some specific relevance on how impactful their message is? 🤔
Caleb T. Carr@CalebTCarrPhD

So I'm not the only one noticing an odd framing of people ranting in cars. Does anyone have data on this or why people think their car makes a persuasive setting? Is this a @drjessmaddox or @katypearce question?

Paris became the first European city to ban the use of rental e-scooters under a law that came into force in September, and concerns have been raised in other towns and cities in the UK and elsewhere about riders breaking the rules; but research by Senior Lecturer Dr Petya Ventsislavova and colleagues at Nottingham Trent University has found that a lack of knowledge of the #Law – rather than a desire to flout it – is behind most rule breaking by riders. @VPPetya @TrentUni policinginsight.com/feature/opinio…
