My Dad died last week, he had been unwell with Lewy Body Dementia for several years. So many fond memories of times spent together. His energy and good humour were an inspiration to me and we will miss him terribly.

Public concern about Covid is tiny now. This latest wave will draw little interest, but Covid got me finally. Given frequency of waves & the cumulative millions infected, numbers with more debilitating types of #LongCovid should be a concern. Lots we don't know about this disease

End of a fantastic era for me as I come into UCLH for the last time…. Last commute on the Met line and last glance at the Tower… what a place to have worked! #uclh #fondmemories #notearstoday

Covid increasing rapidly across all age groups, but oldest group particularly fast (most at risk of hospitalisation). Hard not to see how this cannot be worse than January. This is really not the news the NHS wants right now. 4th Boosters, masks, home working, testing @DHSCgovuk?
Alastair Grant@AlastairGrant4

Today's ONS survey shows COVID numbers increasing in all age groups Rates highest, and increasing most, in younger children and there a second peak in ages corresponding to their parents But rates are also increasing faster among the oldest age groups at risk of hospitalisation

Meant to have appointment with neurologist this month. Hospital @uclh rescheduled it with no explanation. Now comes a replacement appointment... for October *2023*. In the 4ish years I've I've had this condition, only met with consultant twice. Long delays, long before covid.
