Today I got to wear the special Rottweiler ball cap! I suppose technically it belongs to my human, but it was frequently worn by my mentor, Kuno. I feel pretty special getting to wear this on my head. Like it's an award or recognition. I hope that's the case, and it's not just that the human found in the closet and thought I'd look cute. I'm Chesnyy—CKC high-point Rottweiler in rally obedience for the last two years. 🏆🐾 But last season was ruff. Static from the wheelchair tires caused shocks when I heeled, and twice the floor mats caught in the castors and the entire floor started to chase me...I started getting suspicious any time we went in a ring. It didn't feel fun anymore. And there were a lot of other life changes last year so we were already dealing with stress. And trust me, us dogs can smell human stress a mile away and it does affect us. We took the fall and winter off from trials—no rings, no judges. Just my regular work days, treats, snoozes, and puppy adventures. Now we're back: we're easing our way in. Instead of going right back to Master level rounds, we're starting back at intermediate AND advanced rounds this weekend. This will make sure neither the human or I get too stressed. And yeah—we're the only wheelchair-handler team around so sometimes between travel, unloading, set-up, and dealing with accessibility challenges she's already running on empty before we hit the ring entrance. This practice 🎥? Tail doing happy waves, grin locked in. No zaps, no floor monsters—just happy paws and us owning it. If this makes you smile, hit like or share? Helps us keep rolling. @servicerotties I spit out my drink reading this. Had to read it again, empty mouthed.

We were supposed to go to the Post office this morning. Actually we were supposed to go last night but by the time the shark toothed rutabaga took furever finding a spot to squat his royal tushy and 💩 there wasn't time before I had to go help teach a class. A huge amount of snow falling and wind gusts and by the time the post office opened the bottom of the wheelchair ramp was buried. So now I'm stuck doing bored princess snoozles while the human keeps going in and out with the leaf blower so she can keep a spot large enough for her to roll out on with her wheelchair so she can take Prince Poops-too-Slow out. I'm not even allowed to bounce in front of it today because it just pushes the snow back into the house. This is the least fun snow day ever! The weather app says we're getting up to 30 cm of the cloud dandruff. I suspect I won't be going out for a walk for a few days. I better rest up. Kenji is going to want to use me as a springboard again soon. I bet this snow thwarts any chance of a rotisserie chicken being delivered. #ServiceRottie #SnowDay
