A Carbon Free & Healthy Schools Bond Act would modernize classrooms and campuses, improve student health, support clean-energy goals, and create thousands of good union jobs across the state. Beth Weeden and Mike Modleski spent the weekend at the NYS Teacher Retirement System Conference. The system strong as ever thanks to the work of the NYSTRS staff, oversight of the NYSTRS board, and the advocacy of our union. Thank you Beth for giving up her weekend to join Mike!

The 2025 NYSUT RA is underway! This year was a little extra special thanks to the Victor Varsity Choir who kicked off the party with a great performance followed by the National Anthem. Special thanks to music teacher Kristin Mellema for making it happen! #nysutra @VictorSchools

The #nysutra local presidents conference kicks off with a panel on the impact of cell phones and social media on our kids. New York will take the lead on this issue next year with bell to bell ban on cell phones in school.
