Power & Politics: Morgan (2006) states “Power influences who gets what, when, and how” While Harold Lasswell (1950) described Politics as the “process of deciding who gets what, when and how”. This helps to highlight the direct relationship of Power and Politics. #VTOrgTheory

Both Teece (2018) and Manning (2018) point to how disruptive technologies can have a significant impact in higher ed…so this influence should be realized and maximized as much as possible. #VTOrgTheory

Give the attention and analysis of stress and burnout that Meyerson describes, it would be interesting to see this perspective in the current COVID/post-COVID society. #VTOrgTheory

This is an illuminating perspective that race is a “perception—that gives meaning to difference in order to shift the allocation of resources”…(Baez, 2004, p.302). #VTOrgTheory

How timely…will the aid in FL be performative? Will FEMA play the hero? In higher ed response time to tragedy and devastation can be just as promising or damaging as the event itself. In VT’s past, it has historically played the hero in the midst of despair#VTOrgTheory

I agree with Ray (2019)…the wrong questions are asked, it is not a matter of discrimination existing. It is a matter that racialized environments are the standard, not anomalies.#VTOrgTheory

This passage from Eddy & Cox speaks to my top Clifton strength, as a Relator in “deliberately encourag[ing] a deepening of the relationship…wanting to understand their feelings, their goals, their fears, and their dreams…” this is significant in a leadership role.

Therein also lies the dilemma of being rewarded with more work from performing well. After doing a great job, instead of more support the next time, the tendency may be to assume, s/he can do more with less instead of acknowledging good work with tangible rewards. #VTOrgTheory
