Yesterday, June 25, Governor Phil Scott signed S.51, a bill that creates and expands existing tax breaks for Vermont families, workers, veterans, and seniors.

Monthly business taxes for the May reporting period are due Wednesday, June 25.

Save your receipts! If you work outside the home, keep a list of the names, payment amounts, and EINs of your kids' summer camps, as these costs may be eligible towards your Child and Dependent Care Credit when you file next year.

Withholding tax is an estimate of the tax you owe. If too much tax is withheld, you'll get a refund, but you won't have as much in your paycheck. If not enough is withheld, you'll owe tax when you file.
